Khamaré (African vetiver root—Chrysopogon zizanioides) is a root deeply rooted in West African traditions, valued for supporting women’s wellness routines.

Khamaré is used for its purifying properties and to support the balance of the female cycle, as well as to alleviate discomforts such as vaginal dryness and odor.

Whether enjoyed as a hot or cold infusion, its naturally woody scent makes it a plant that is both comforting and invigorating.

Usage

To fully enjoy the benefits, start with a 4- to 7-day of treatment, then take a one-week break.

For a cold infusion, the root can be rinsed and reused up to three times.
For a hot infusion, single use is recommended.

As a precaution, this infusion is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women.

Storage: The infused water can be stored for 3 days in the refrigerator, or up to 2 days at room temperature.
Preparation of a hot infusion

🌿 Hot infusion:
• Rinse the stem and add it to a pot containing about 1 L of water
• Steeping time: 10 to 12 minutes over low heat

🌿 Cold infusion:
• Rinse the stem and add it to a bottle containing about 1 L of water
• Steeping time: at least 2 hours
